Over the next several weeks, Fenton and I juggled our schedules enough to see each other a couple of times a week. When he wasn’t working double shifts, he made time to take me out on dates. Sometimes the dates would be during the day, because he was working at night that day. Either way, I was happy to see him. Hey, there was nothing wrong with a little afternoon delight. We usually talked on the phone on the nights we couldn’t be together.

“Babe, what’s your schedule look like tomorrow afternoon?” Fenton asked.

“I had a client re-schedule his appointment so I’m free. What’s up?”

I could hear the smile in his voice as he responded. “I want to see you. I have to work later in the evening, but my morning and afternoon are free. What do you say?”

“You know I love spending time with you. Of, course we can get together. What do you have in mind, Mr. Knoll?”

“We need some sexy time. I haven’t been able to spend as much time making love to you as I would like.”

“Mmm, that sounds delicious. You bring some food with you, and I’ll supply the entertainment.”

“Entertainment?”

“That’s right. Don’t ask any questions. Just be here tomorrow morning at nine-thirty. I’ll handle the rest. The door will be open.”

“Now I’m going to be up all night, literally, thinking about the possibilities.”

“Anticipation is good sometimes. You learn to appreciate your treasures more. Good night, Fenton.”

“Good night, babe.”

At 9:30 AM on the dot, Fenton rang my doorbell and then walked into my house, as instructed. I had gotten up early to straighten up the house, put clean sheets on the bed and made sure I was properly groomed. I couldn’t wait for him to see my outfit. He had a thing for Velma on Scooby Doo, so I decided to feed into his cartoon fantasy. I found the perfect cosplay get up online, and it fit perfectly. I had the orange turtleneck, super short red school girl skirt, long thigh-high orange stockings and black pumps. The kicker was the wig and black rimmed glasses.

He was going to lose his mind when he saw me. I giggled as I pressed play on my phone and the theme music from the show started playing. I heard him chuckle at my choice of music. When I walked around the corner with my costume on, all laughing stopped. His eyes got wide, and he licked his lips. Mindlessly, he adjusted his package as he perused my body with his eyes.

“Well, who do we have here? I was expecting my girlfriend, but I have to say, Velma, you are looking hella hot.”

“Jinkies, Fred. That’s awfully nice of you. I think you deserve a Scooby Snack.”

Fenton licked his lips again. Placing the bag of takeout on the table, he made his way over to me and took my hand. I could tell he was enjoying my surprise. He fell right into character, which made me smile.

“Spin around for me baby. Let Fred get a good look at you.
